Banana Torte – Torta de Cambures
If you have read any of my previous posts, you probably know by now how much I love flavors that take me back in time. This Torta de Cambures recipe is definitely one of them. I shared this recipe for the April 16th issue of The Capital City Hues.
This is a cake that I remember eating as an afternoon snack with coffee. It is such an easy recipe especially because the ingredients are very basic in any Latin kitchen. For my cake I used a day-old French loaf to make the bread crumbs. If you can’t find Cotija Cheese you could substitute with finely grated feta.
While writing this recipe I also reflected on the memories it brought and the memories we are creating for the future. Go ahead and hop over to Tortas de Cambures: A Childhood Memory on the Capital City Hues to read the complete story and find the recipe. Scroll down for pictures. Share your thoughts and let me know if you are trying the recipe on my Facebook page. Enjoy!
