About me

Hi, I am Sujhey Beisser. I was born in Venezuela and moved to Madison, Wisconsin in 2001. Cooking has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching my mother, grandmother, and aunts in the kitchen. They taught me how to cook, and I carry on their passion in the kitchen. I have been cooking for my family and friends since I was very young. The kitchen is the heart of our house. I enjoy food in any way, shape or form. I love dining out and traveling; culturing my palate with all sorts of flavors, bringing home new recipes and in most cases, fresh spices. Because I grew up cooking with fresh ingredients from the market or just picked in our backyard, I am very passionate about eating local foods. I like to support local farms, chefs and businesses. I choose to support the farm-to-table concept both when eating out and when cooking a meal at home for my family. I want to teach my kids to appreciate food in all of its expression, including where it comes from and how it is prepared.

About Five Senses Palate

This website started as a food blog where I could document and track my recipes, mostly for friends and family. I get inspired to try new recipes from books, magazines, TV, as well as local and world known chefs. In my quest to find new flavors and techniques I have been slowly training myself to become a home chef.

My Personal Chef Services started as an auction gift for a local non-profit. It has now become a small business that I am proud to run with the help of my husband. I cook with love and care for clients that are looking for a different alternative to entertain in their home. Hosting a dinner party can be stressful, my goal is to create a unique dining experience for my clients and their guests. By allowing me to help with the menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning for their party; they get to enjoy every minute of hosting. I help them do just that!

Thank you for visiting my website!
